“It’s a tremendous accomplishment to be selected as an AAAS Fellow,” says Ethan Dmitrovsky, M.D., provost and executive vice president. “MD Anderson is known worldwide for its leading patient care, research and education, and this recognition is a tribute to the men and women who, each day, bring their knowledge and dedication to our mission.”
The 140-year-old AAS is the world’s largest general scientific society. MD Anderson’s faculty currently includes 32 AAAS Fellows, with 23 elected in the past four years.
