Mission accomplished: NASA doctor receives personalized leukemia treatment

Lymphocytes are white blood cells that include the immune system’s T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. MD Anderson doctors are treating patients with immunotherapies that use these lymphocytes to attack blood cancers such as acute myeloid leukemia, non-Hodgkin lymphoma and others.
