Summer 2019
Science is almost always a process of slow and methodical discovery. Experiments must be replicated several times to confirm that results are consistent, accurate and valid. Clinical and laboratory trials can take years, even decades, to complete. But every now and then, a finding is uncovered – often incidental to the main aim of the research – that appears suddenly and is entirely unexpected. This issue of Conquest magazine highlights the work of several MD Anderson researchers who have encountered unanticipated acts of discovery that continue to move us forward in our pursuit to end cancer.
