From relationship advice to what to pack for chemo, many of our survivors have shared what they've learned from their cancer experiences in 2015.
Here's some of the best advice our survivors shared this past year:
20 ways to feel closer to loved ones during cancer treatment
Whether you're a patient, caregiver, family member or friend of a cancer patient, your relationships often can help you make it through your cancer journey.
We asked our Facebook community what they do to stay connected with their loved one during cancer treatment. Here's what they said.
What to pack for chemo
When Stephanie Madsen first found out she needed chemo, she had no idea what to pack. So, she took everything.
Since then, she's had nearly 55 chemo treatments, 28 radiation sessions and four major surgeries. "In the process, I've become an expert on what to bring to chemo and what to leave at home," she says. Find out what makes her list.
6 things to know before radiation therapy
Vulvar cancer survivor Jami Mayberry knows that radiation therapy saved her life. But undergoing six weeks of radiation wasn't easy. "So, when things get tough, remember: you can do this. It's so worth it!" she tells other patients. Read what Jami wishes she would have known before radiation therapy.
A survivor's advice for single parents facing cancer
As a single mom, Constance Charles was afraid to tell her 15-year-old daughter about her breast cancer diagnosis. More than 12 years later, Constance is proud to call herself a survivor and grandmother, an MD Anderson employee and the face of a Jason's Deli fundraising campaign. Learn how she and her daughter reached this point.
