It can take a while to learn all the ins and outs of MD Anderson. To help you get ahead and make your next trip to MD Anderson even better, we're sharing our insider tips.
Grab free coffee while visiting a Hospitality Center.
Coffee is available in the cafeterias and the various coffee shops throughout campus, but you can find free coffee in our Hospitality Centers in the Main Building and Mays Clinic. Stop by and chat with our volunteers. Many of them are volunteers with myCancerConnection, our one-on-one support program for patients and caregivers.
Drop off your luggage.
Don't have time to check in at the hotel before your appointments? Or, don't have a place to leave your luggage before you return home? We can store it for you, so you don't have to carry it around from appointment to appointment.
Simply drop off your luggage at one of our information desks located in the fronts of the Mays Clinic and the Main Building, so you don't have to carry it around from appointment to appointment with you.
Mail a letter.
Did you know that MD Anderson has its own post office? Located on the first floor of the Main Building near elevator E, our post office ensures that more than 268,000 pieces of mail each month are transported and received.
It also sells postage stamps and provides special mailing services, such as certified/return receipt, insured, registered mail and speedy shipping services.
If the post office isn't open, you can still buy stamps using our self-service kiosk at the post office.
Download the MD Anderson mobile app.
You don't have to print your appointment schedule. Simply download the MD Anderson mobile app on your smartphone or tablet, and log in. The app also provides you with step-by-step directions to appointments, an events calendar, articles about the latest in cancer treatment and more.
Don't have a smartphone or tablet? You can get a printout of your appointment schedule at any of our Information Centers in Mays Clinic and the Main Building.
Relax and unwind.
Acupuncture and massages have both been shown to ease pain and help cancer patients relax. Both are available through our Integrative Medicine Center. To request an appointment, call 713-794-4700 or ask your MD Anderson doctor or nurse to submit a request for you.
