Flow Cytometry and Cellular Imaging Core Facility — South Campus
Overview
The goal of the Flow Cytometry and Cellular Imaging Core Facility — South Campus is to assist researchers by providing access to well maintained, state-of-the-art cytometers for sophisticated multiparametric single cell analysis. We provide services in instrument operation and training, experimental design, methods troubleshooting, data analysis, and interpretation of results. Our team of cytometry experts is equipped with a wide breadth of expertise to help researchers make new discoveries in the fight against cancer with single cell research using cell sorting, analytical flow cytometry, and imaging flow cytometry. The ultimate goals of the facility are to facilitate the production of accurate, reliable data and high impact publications in the scientific literature and to improve treatment outcomes for cancer patients. Go to the About page to learn more about the facility.
Getting Started
New FCCICF - South customers should create an iLab account and set up funding with their department manager. Please email ACSFScheduling@mdanderson.org with questions and training requests. Training documents and videos can be found in the About Our Core tab in iLab.
Impact
The FCCICF - South core is directed by Karen Clise-Dwyer, Ph.D., professor, and staffed by six expert cytometrists who assist users across MD Anderson in experiment planning, protocol development and troubleshooting, user training for independent 24/7 access to instruments, computational and traditional data analysis and figure preparation to support the production of robust, reproducible cytometry data that drives cancer research.
Acknowledgment
Please remember to acknowledge the grant that supports the FCCICF in all your publications. This helps keep our services affordable.
Please use the following text when acknowledging the core: “The Flow Cytometry and Cellular Imaging Core Facility was supported in part by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and P30CA016672.”
Go to the Acknowledgment page to see guidelines on whether the efforts of core personnel merit authorship.
