Flow Cytometry and Cellular Imaging Core Facility — North Campus
Overview
The North Campus facility is located at the MD Anderson Main Building and has staff scientists with extensive expertise in multi-omics, multiparametric flow cytometry, cell sorting, confocal imaging (laser and spinning disc), multispectral imaging, live cell imaging, digital microscopy, CyTOF mass cytometry, imaging mass cytometry, and multiplex immunofluorescence imaging. Go to the About page to learn more about the core.
Getting Started
Users who are interested in utilizing the North Campus Flow Cytometry and Cellular Imaging facilities, but are unsure of what is best suited for their project, may schedule consultations with our experienced staff and faculty. To find the contact for a specific service you are interested in, please see the Contact page.

Scheduling:
Please schedule services or equipment through iLab. Some discounted services are offered during off-peak hours; please see iLab for details.
Cancellation:
Due to the high demand of the core equipment, we require cancellations to be made 24 hours in advance through iLab. If you need to cancel within 24 hours of reserved time please contact the core directly. Failure to cancel 24 hours in advance may result in full or partial billing for equipment use, staff time, and prepared reagent costs. Please refer to iLab scheduling for service and equipment dependent policies or contact us for specific details.
Impact
At the North Campus Flow Cytometry and Cellular Imaging facility, we strive to empower investigators and provide the tools and training they need for their individual applications. Our uniquely outfitted facilities provide cutting-edge equipment for flow cytometry, mass cytometry and cellular imaging applications as well as nine workstations for image processing, co-registration of multi-modal and multi-omics spatial data and analysis.
Acknowledgment
Please remember to acknowledge the grant that supports the core in all your publications. This helps keep our services affordable.
Please use the following text when acknowledging the core: “The Flow Cytometry and Cellular Imaging Core Facility was supported in part by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, P30CA016672, the NCI’s Research Specialist 1 R50 CA243707-01A1 (if Dr. Burks was involved), a Shared Instrumentation Award from the Cancer Prevention Research Institution of Texas (CPRIT), and RP121010 (if Mass Cytometry was used).”
