Online, Hybrid, Weekend and Part-Time Options
Work towards your allied health bachelor’s or master’s degree through multiple enrollment options at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s School of Health Professions. B.S. in Cytogenetic Technology
Full-Time Online Track
- Will complete in one year.
- Course load is 15-17 credit hours per semester.
- All classes and trainings are available online.
- At the end of each semester, students must attend a one week, on-campus wet lab and hands-on demonstration seminar.
- After didactic courses, students must complete two clinical rotations (12 weeks total).

Full-Time Distance Education Options in Dallas and Select U.S. States
- Complete in five semesters over two years.
- Typical course load is 13-15 credit hours per semester.
- Classes are remote but in real-time, meaning that student attendance in the scheduled classes and activities is required. Classes are scheduled Mondays through Fridays 8 a.m.-5 p.m. CT.
- Laboratory, research activities and clinical rotations completed with clinical staff at local affiliated clinics.
- Some affiliated clinical sites accept the student during junior and senior year and some sites only accept the student during their senior year.
