Ahmed Hassan, M.D.
Imaging Research Specialist

Hassan obtained his M.D. from the School of Medicine, Cairo University, in 2013. In July 2015, he joined the Imaging Genomic, Radiomic and Therapeutic Lab at MD Anderson as a Research Fellow, where his focus was on Radiomics and Radiogenomics with an emphasis on the identification of imaging biomarkers. In October 2019, Hassan was appointed as an Imaging Research Specialist. His current work investigates advanced analysis techniques with specific emphasis on 2D quantitative imaging analysis and 3D volumetric imaging analysis.

Nourel hoda Tahon, M.D., M.S.
Imaging Research Specialist

Nourel hoda Tahon, M.D., graduated from Tanta University's School of Medicine (Egypt) in 2007 before completing a radiology residency at El Menshawy General Hospital and earning a Master of Science in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology from Benha University. She worked as a visitor physician in the National Cancer Institute at Cairo University, Egypt, before joining the Genomic, Radiogenomic and Imaging Core Laboratory at the University of Pittsburg Hillman Cancer Center as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in November 2019.  She is a member of The Egyptian Society of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine (ESRNM) and the European Society of Radiology (ESR). She joined MD Anderson's QIAC as an Imaging Research Specialist in May 2021. Her research experience is in chest, abdominal and neuro radiology.

Augusto Castelli von Atzingen, M.D., Ph.D.

Augusto Castelli von Atzingen received his Ph.D. in Clinical Radiology from Federal University of São Paulo-UNIFESP. He completed his medical residency in Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging (RDI) at the Samuel Libânio-HCSL / MG University Hospital. He has experience in medicine, with emphasis on Medical Radiology of the Abdomen (Ultrasound - US, Computed Tomography - CT and Magnetic Resonance - MRI), Obstetrics / Gynecology and Bioethics. Von Atzingen is a member of the Brazilian College of Radiology and has many articles published in scientific journals. He joined MD Anderson as an Imaging Research Specialist in QIAC in June of 2022.

Marcelo de Moura Cortes

Marcelo de Moura Cortes graduated from Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO) and did his Radiology training at The Santa Casa de Misericórdia General Hospital in Rio de Janeiro. He has work experience serving as a physician at the Galeao Air Force Hospital (HFAG) in Brazil. He is a member of the Brazilian College of Radiology. He joined MD Anderson as an Imaging Research Specialist in QIAC in June of 2022.

Ceylan Altintas Taslicay

Ceylan Altintas Taslicay graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Faculty of Medicine (Turkey) in 2017 before completing her radiology residency at Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine in Kocaeli, Turkey. She worked as a primary care physician at the Istanbul 112 Emergency Command Center in Istanbul, Turkey, and a radiologist at Fethi Sekin City Hospital in Elazığ, Turkey. She is a member of several professional membership societies including the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) and the European Society of Radiology (ECR) and has many articles published in scientific journals. She joined MD Anderson as an Imaging Research Specialist in QIAC in November 2022.
