Transcending boundaries
When new questions arise in the clinic, the seamless collaboration of our teams allows clinicians and scientists to identify and test new hypotheses, together, at a speed unmatched in our field. This unique cycle of discovery allows for new findings to be validated within a patient population of extensive scale and complexity.
Spotlight on an innovative treatment plan
Heather Williams was 24 years old and seven weeks pregnant when she was diagnosed with stage IV renal medullary carcinoma, rare and extremely aggressive kidney cancer. Her care team crafted an innovative care plan to save both Heather and her baby. “Without research, I wouldn’t be here,” Heather said. “My baby wouldn’t be here. It’s as simple as that."
To do something that nobody else has ever thought of or done before, based on research, and it’s successful, that’s beautiful.
