Precision X-Ray Irradiation SmART Platform / Precision X-RAD 225Cx
- The Small Animal Radiation Therapy (SmART) platform is a state-of-the-art focal irradiation system that mimics clinical radiotherapy and imaging.
- Using Cone-Beam CT, µCT and a fully integrated Bioluminescence (BLI) imaging module, the SmART has the ability to image, target, and irradiate cells, and small animals ranging from mice to rabbits with unprecedented accuracy.
- The interface of the SmART-Advanced Treatment Planning (ATP) system allows the user to define complex treatment plans with the simple click of a button.
- Combines a high accuracy cone beam CT imaging system and a high dose delivery X-ray source in a single platform.
- Similar to clinical systems, the isocentric design allows the specimen to remain stationary while the imaging and treatment platform rotate a full 360 degrees around the subject, thereby improving total dose delivery to the targeted area and reducing damage to non-targeted surrounding structures.
- The stationary specimen platform also allows co-registration of imported data from other imaging modalities to be seamlessly fused in order to improve visibility of the affected area thereby promoting more accurate treatment planning.

Interventional Simulation Suite (In Development)
