- Imaging
The Wu Laboratory is focused on the development and application of innovative computational and analytical approaches to improve the diagnosis, treatment, early detection and prevention of cancer.
Our Research
Key themes of research in the Wu Laboratory include:
- Imaging Biomarkers via Artificial Intelligence: develop novel machine learning pipelines to quantify disease phenotypes based on radiographic scans and histopathological slides, and statistically evaluate the clinical values (diagnostic, prognostic, and predictive)
- Image-genomics to Decipher Disease Mechanisms: engineer new computational frameworks to understand the link between imaging findings and tumor microenvironment, which sheds light on our understanding of biological mechanisms that drive tumor initiation, progression, and response/resistance to treatments (immunotherapy, targeted therapy, etc.)
- Translation toward Precision Medicine: clinically validate the imaging biomarkers and embed them into clinical decision system to guide personalize treatment plan
Funding
Funding support for the Wu Laboratory includes the Pathway to Independence (R00) and the University of Texas Rising STARs award.
