Members of the Sood Laboratory spend a lot of time in the lab working in tissue culture, treating mice and collecting and analyzing data. In between experiments, it’s common for members to gather in the break area for lunchtime catch-ups, afternoon snacks or impromptu chats. During the holiday season, they celebrate the vibrant diversity in the lab with a potluck featuring cultural dishes provided by lab members.
Every year, lab members have a team for the Sprint For Life race/walk benefitting ovarian cancer research, many years designing a team t-shirt. Additionally, many lab members enjoy playing sports (from tennis to volleyball and beyond), practicing music and exploring Houston.
