Join Our Lab
The Shukla Lab develops immunogenomic approaches and uses high-dimensional profiling for discovering antigens, developing cancer vaccines and understanding patient responses.
We are a highly translational wet/dry lab and are looking for motivated students, postdoctoral fellows and scientists who are driven to find cures. Prospective master's and Ph.D. students can learn more by visiting UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, including how to apply.
We are creating the next generation of personalized cancer vaccines designed to target antigens identified within each patient. These novel vaccination approaches will be tested in clinical trials across multiple tumor types. Prospective lab members will have the opportunity to work on on several impactful projects, including:
- Development of novel immunogenomic tools for analysis of high-throughput profiling data
- Analysis of patient cohorts or patient-derived xenografts in order to identify novel targets for therapeutic development
- Creation of machine learning approaches to distinguish responders from non-responders to various immunotherapies, including from clinical vaccine trials
- Experimental investigation of antigen delivery platforms and development of novel delivery approaches
