Larry and Pat McNeil Chair in Radiation Oncology

Radhe Mohan, Ph.D., F.A.A.P.M., F.A.S.T.R.O., is a professor and the holder of the Larry and Pat McNeil Chair in Radiation Physics at MD Anderson. Dr. Mohan’s extensive experience includes pioneering contributions in many areas of radiation physics and oncology. He has nearly 500 publications including over 420 in peer-reviewed journals. He was the Senior Physics Editor of The International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, and Physics from 2002 through 2011.

Dr. Mohan has been the Co-Principal Investigator two 5-year National Cancer Institute’s Program Project grants on proton therapy. In addition, Dr. Mohan has been awarded numerous research grants by the NCI and industry. Among the awards Dr. Mohan has received are the 2003 AAPM Edith H. Quimby Award for Lifetime Achievement in Medical Physics; the 2004 Allan M. Cormack Gold Medal of the Association of Medical Physicists of India; the 2010 Failla Memorial Award of the Radiological and Medical Physics Society of New York, the 2013 ASTRO Gold Medal and the 2018 AAPM Coolidge Gold Medal.
