The David C. Nicholson Microsurgical and Endoscopic Center for Clinical Applications Laboratory is a multidisciplinary state-of-the-art cadaveric surgical lab for education, training and research. Seventeen integrated stations with LED surgical lights and in-line cameras simulate the operating room. The teleconference-enabled lab can be used to teach remotely and facilitates innovative teaching opportunities.
The MECCA Lab is one of only a few labs in the country capable of hosting a course like the CNS 3D Surgical Anatomy Course.
The modular work stations in the lab can be configured to support almost any surgical specialty or approach.
Trainees practice surgical approaches in the MECCA Lab.
Each station has state-of-the-art surgical equipment, LED surgical lights and in-line cameras that simulate the OR experience.
