Lab Members
Ariana Anjier, M.S.
Sr. Research Assistant, Pediatrics
aerupp@mdanderson.org
Ariana has expertise in molecular biology and leads the NK cell studies and assists with the education and training of rotating students and clinical fellows. Ariana coordinates the collection and distribution of pediatric patient samples and assist with data entry in the sample database.
Untearia Henderson, B.S., M.P.H.
Coord, Clinical Studies, Pediatrics - Research
UDHenderson@mdanderson.org
Untearia performs data input and abstraction to the clinical data base as part of the Pediatric Biorepository program and maintains clinical databases.
Yan Zheng, Ph.D.
Research investigator
JZheng7@mdanderson.org
Yan has expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry, physiology and chemistry. He leads the autophagy studies and assists with the mentoring and training of rotational students and clinical fellows. He studies autophagy induced by chemotherapy and the epigenetic mechanisms that define autophagy fate – survival vs. death in osteosarcoma in order to identify a potential biomarker that could identify which patients may benefit from the addition of an autophagy inhibitor.
Emily Simon Rav, M.D.
Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Fellow
ESimon@mdanderson.org
Emily is a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellow with clinical expertise. She studies CD70 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)NK cells as direct targets to Osteosarcoma and uses novel imaging tools to track NK cells. Her goal is to generate the preclinical studies that will support the development of a clinical trial. In addition, she oversees and contributes to the development and maintenance of the Pediatric Biorepository clinical database.
