Make a difference! Exciting opportunities to work on the Radiation Planning Assistant – An automated contouring and treatment planning toolkit for clinics in low- and middle-income countries.
We have several openings to join our team of researchers dedicated to developing the Radiation Planning Assistant – a web-based toolbox for automated planning, specifically focused on delivering a low-cost solution for clinics in low- and middle-income countries. Open positions include a programmer (Research Engineer), dosimetrist (part-time), and several postdoctoral research fellows. Depending on the position, we are especially interested in applicants with strong programming skills (including deep learning), radiotherapy treatment planning experience or other clinical experience (including DMP graduates).
For the programmer position, we are looking for the following experience:
- Knowledge and experience of one of the statically-typed languages (e.g. C, C++, C#, Java)
- Knowledge and experience of one of the dynamically-typed languages (e.g. Matlab, Python, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with Relational Databases and SQL
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
Other positions may be available for suitable candidates who are not eligible for postdoc fellow positions (e.g. if you have this experience and interest in global work, but no Ph.D., or are further along in your career).
Postdoc positions, and any additional questions you may have, are being coordinated by Deborah Mann (DLMann@MDAnderson.org). Interested candidates should send their CV, briefly summarizing their programming or treatment planning experience, and indicating when they will be available to start, and their eligibility to work in the United States.
