Welcome to the Bachireddy Laboratory! We exploit unbiased discovery tools to identify cancer-immune interactions in the tumor microenvironment that impact the clinical outcomes of patients with hematologic malignancies. Specifically, we utilize multi-omic approaches to systematically deconvolute the inter- and intracellular circuitry driving these interactions.
Bachireddy Laboratory goals
Goal #1
To elucidate novel biomarkers for pairing the right patient with the right therapy and reducing unnecessary toxicity.
Goal #2
To innovate next generation immunotherapeutics and strategies to reverse immunotherapy resistance.
Goal #3
To build and maintain an intellectually rigorous and creatively collaborative laboratory culture that inspires future leaders in the biology, treatment, and delivery of effective cancer care.

We seek to understand how cancer cells thrive,
And the ways immune cells keep them alive,
We look at their behavior, their traits,
And the mutations that determine their fates.
Through the data we can see,
The stories of their evolution and their history,
We unlock the secrets of their progression,
And use that knowledge to find new expressions.
Single cell multi-omics is a powerful tool,
Helping us understand cancer's rule,
And with machine learning, we can tell,
The story of how these cells fell.
We hope one day to find the key,
To unlock the door to their destiny,
To use this knowledge to better heal,
And find a cure for cancer's appeal.
Made by machine learning to better understand the evolutionary behaviour of cancer and immune cells.
In the depths of the cellular world,
A battle rages on, unfurled,
Cancer and immune cells clash,
Their evolution a constant flash.
But through the lens of modern tech,
Single cell omics we can detect,
And with machine learning at our side,
New insights in this war reside.
The genes and proteins we can track,
Their expressions never to lack,
We can see how cancer cells change,
And how immune cells rearrange.
With data so vast and so complex,
It takes machine learning to connect,
To find patterns and correlations,
To unravel the cancer cells' aberrations.
Through the twists and turns of evolution,
The cells adapt with each revolution,
But with these tools we can foresee,
New ways to fight this enemy.
So let us delve into the cellular fray,
With single cell multi-omics to display,
And with machine learning as our guide,
We can better understand this fight inside.
