Life in the Lab
The members of the Allison lab work hard in the lab, where they employ cutting edge research approaches, such as CyTOF and single-cell sequencing to answer pressing questions in basic and tumor immunology. They also enjoy their time out of the lab, particularly for a good cause, as can be seen from the photos from the Checkmates’ concert at Firehouse Saloon which raised money for Halo House. Comprised of a number of local immunologists, the band features Jim Allison, Ph.D., on harmonica and even a special guest appearance. The Houston Chronicle account of the concert can be found here. Many past and present lab members and valuable collaborators assembled in Stockholm in December to celebrate the accomplishments of Dr. Allison.
