The Clinical Nutrition department at MD Anderson consists of registered dietitians that provide comprehensive nutrition care for our patients. Registered Dietitians (RDs) are experts in nutrition with extensive training. Our dietitians work with MD Anderson's medical teams to pinpoint opportunities for nutrition intervention or support.
Our services include education, assessment and counseling in:
- Cancer prevention
- Nutrition intervention prior to, during and after treatment
- Management of treatment side effects
- Specialized diets
- Management of specialized feeding regimens like tube feeds and IV parenteral nutrition
