"Healthy baking substitutions can help you eat more protein and fruit, and lower sources of cholesterol and overall calories per serving," says Clare McKindley, dietitian in MD Anderson’s Lyda Hill Cancer Prevention Center. Remember, taking in too many calories increases your chances of gaining weight. "And, being overweight or obese increases your risks for cancer and other diseases," she says.
