MD Anderson’s Daneen and Charles Stiefel Head and Neck Center has a remarkable depth of expertise gained by seeing more than 50,000 patients a year with cancers and benign tumors of the head and neck.

We treat head and neck cancers with a diverse team of oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, neuro-radiologists, dental oncologists and plastic surgeons with special training in head and neck cancers. Together, they design a customized treatment plan for you that may include proton therapy, Gamma Knife radiosurgery, targeted therapies and advanced reconstructive surgery methods.

Your care team is dedicated to supporting your needs after cancer. Specialized speech pathologists, audiologists and prosthodontists will help maintain or restore your speech, swallowing and hearing abilities after treatment.

Specialty clinics within the center provide diagnosis and monitoring of precancerous lesions in the oral cavity, and a survivor clinic that can help you cope with the physical and psychological changes of cancer and treatment.
