Judy Woodruff to lead A Conversation With a Living Legend interview at MD Anderson benefit

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center marks the 10th year of A Conversation With a Living Legend® in San Antonio with a luncheon honoring former U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in an interview with “PBS NewsHour” anchor and managing editor Judy Woodruff. The event is scheduled 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Marriott Rivercenter, 101 Bowie St.
Barbara and Alan Dreeben, Paige and Marc Sachs, Lisa and Kelly Sechler and Allison and Josh Zeller are co-chairs of the event, with fundraising nearing a $750,000 goal. Proceeds will support
MD Anderson’s Moon Shots Program®, a collaborative effort to accelerate the development of scientific discoveries into clinical advances that save patients’ lives.
Honorary chairs include Peggy and Lowry Mays and Charline and Red McCombs. Mary and Bob Worth, Clint and Jessica Worth and Jordan and Brian Arriaga are immediate past chairs; founding chairs are Kim and Clyde Johnson IV and Paula and Clyde Johnson III.
A Conversation With a Living Legend®, a signature MD Anderson benefit event, has raised more than
$40 million across the country in cities such as Houston, Dallas, Las Vegas, Atlanta and Washington, D.C., with approximately $4 million raised in San Antonio.
