Media Visitation Policy

Journalists are welcome on the MD Anderson campus. We are open to hosting individual reporters or crews in surgery, in clinics, or in meeting our faculty, staff, volunteers and patients. We do strictly adhere to our guidelines for journalists.

Journalists are asked to phone a media specialist any time they plan to visit the institution. Call the media hotline (713-792-0655) to make arrangements for one of our media specialists to meet and escort you to your campus destination. The MD Anderson campus is vast so it's best to plan on assistance from a media specialist to alert security to your arrival and guide you expediently to your interview.

We have strict rules regarding patient confidentiality and consideration. Therefore, we must have consent forms signed when journalists visiting MD Anderson use names or photos of patients.

Parking is available for a nominal charge through our valet service or by parking in Texas Medical Center Garage 2 for equivalent fees. Our media specialists can provide directions to the valet stand or convenient parking garage locations.
