MD Anderson’s deemed status restored; re-accreditation completed

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center has announced that the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, on behalf of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, has restored the hospital’s deemed status. Additionally, The Joint Commission has re-accredited MD Anderson following a survey conducted in late 2019.

“We applaud the dedicated work of our 22,000 employees,” said Rosanna Morris, senior vice president and chief operating officer, MD Anderson. “We are committed to our ongoing pursuit of exceeding regulatory and accreditation standards.”
