Making Cancer History® Seminar makes third trip to Midland

Free event returns April 10, featuring MD Anderson experts and local lymphoma survivor

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center brings its signature Making Cancer History® Seminar to Midland, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, at the Midland Petroleum Club, 501 W. Wall St. The free seminar, underwritten by The Henry Foundation, is open to the public and includes lunch. Doors open at 11 a.m.

Presentations will feature oncologists from the nation’s No. 1 cancer center:

Lymphoma survivor Becca Clinch, of Midland, will share her experience as a patient at MD Anderson. The program also includes a brief question-and-answer session with the physicians.

MD Anderson has earned the No. 1 ranking for cancer care in U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals” survey 13 times in the past 16 years. Since March 1944, more than 1.3 million people have sought care at MD Anderson, including more than 6,100 from the Midland/Odessa area. The MD Anderson Cancer Center Board of Visitors, which provides leadership and support for MD Anderson, includes four members from Midland.
