Heiser was diagnosed in 1997 during his junior year at Westlake High School — three months after his football team won the state championship. Following treatment at MD Anderson in Houston, he received a clean bill of health and went on to graduate in 1998. Heiser later endured a recurrence during his freshman year at The University of Texas at Austin, recovery from a serious hunting accident and an eventual bone marrow transplant. Today he is cancer-free and vice president of a development company. Heiser and his wife, Lindsey, have two daughters.

Doors open at 11 a.m. Seating is limited. For more information, call 866-262-9029 or contact events@mdanderson.org.
