First Oncology Superhub
Superhub at MD Anderson
Recognizing a critical need to address disparities in cancer care, MD Anderson has been designated as an ECHO superhub for oncology by the ECHO Institute at the University of New Mexico Health Science Center (UNMHSC). As an ECHO superhub, MD Anderson can provide the required training and instruction and support for organizations and institutions interested in becoming ECHO hubs. MD Anderson is one of just 14 ECHO superhub sites in the world and the first focused on oncology.
Training for new oncology hubs:
- A one and a half day orientation/immersion ECHO training at the MD Anderson superhub is offered twice a year.
- If you are interested in participating in any future trainings, please contact us.
In February 2017, the Project ECHO team at MD Anderson, joined by Dr. Sanjeev Arora, Director and Founder of Project ECHO signed an agreement assigning MD Anderson as the first ECHO superhub for oncology.
