Hematopathology
The Hematopathology Observer Program in the department of Hematopathology is accepting observers interested in enhancing their learning and exposure to the Hematopathology field. The observers will participate in daily case sign-outs and educational conferences with clinical fellows. Observers will watch and listen with no patient contact and no active participation in clinical activities. The overall educational goal is to gain knowledge about the distinct hematolymphoid neoplasms and understand basic concepts of morphology and immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, cytogenetic and molecular testing that may aid in the differential diagnoses of hematopathology cases.

Translational Molecular Pathology
The Translational Molecular Pathology Observer Program in the department of Translational Molecular Pathology is accepting observers interested in learning methods to assay for host immune responses downstream of gut microbiome dysbiosis and during lung cancer progression. The program will allow participants to observe how to perform these assays in the gut of experimental models.

- Observe how to dissect gut tissue and lamnia propria from experimental models
- Observe how single-cell sequencing of specific dendritic cell subsets is performed

A Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the biomedical sciences is required.
