What does MD Anderson offer clinical fellows and residents?

We offer a philosophy of clinical care that continuously embraces comprehensive plans for growth in on-site care delivery with the requisite support systems:

• To expand access to top quality MD Anderson care
• To recruit and retain additional outstanding clinicians
• To expand powerful research that translates into innovative clinical trials
• To oversee the care of patients off-site, using Cancer Manager (TM) or other products to provide partnering physicians with education, decision support and disease management tools
• To provide adequate resources to enable each multidisciplinary disease-site center and each diagnostic service to give outstanding care and to carry out clinical trials for all types of cancer

• GME Committee: A committee that includes representation from the trainee population, which monitors and advises on all aspects of the quality of education and the work environment for GME trainees in each program
• Trainee Research Day: An exciting day of science and celebration where all clinical fellows, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students present the research they have conducted in the past year
• Faculty Development Program: Provides a multitude of career-building development programs for trainees, including topics such as time-management, grant writing and management, technology and scientific excellence
• "Informal Conversations" Forum: An informal quarterly gathering of fellows, residents, various faculty and administrators, who meet to discuss goals and issues, related to the clinical experience, work environment, programs and career development
• Research Medical Library: An essential resource that provides an extensive biomedical collection and scientific editing services to our faculty and trainees
• Mentor Line: A confidential, online communication whereby trainees can send questions to educational program executives and staff, and view questions and answers that others have submitted
