The School of Health Professions announces the inaugural recipients of the Serafy Clinical Rotation Scholarship. This award is provided by the Serafy Foundation to support students to complete their summer clinical/laboratory rotation or internship. The inaugural recipients and their sites are listed below.

Newly admitted and eligible students to the School of Health Professions (SHP) are offered a Pathway to Success scholarship of $500. Eligible returning students and newly admitted nonresident students may apply for competitive scholarships of at least $1,000. All scholarships are one-time awards distributed for the fall semester.

The scholarship provides financial assistance to students enrolled in Cytotechnology and Histotechnology bachelor’s programs who demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in health care. One student from each program will be awarded the scholarship, which covers Texas in-state tuition and fees for the upcoming academic year. While not automatically renewable, students can reapply for funding in subsequent years.
