Rutledge Resident Rotation in Gynecologic Oncology
The Felix Rutledge Fellowship Resident Rotation in Gynecologic Oncology is a one-month elective rotation for third-year obstetrics and gynecology residents from programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) in the U.S., or a five-year residency program in Canada accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Applications should be made during the PGY-2 year. This competitive resident rotation is for individuals who are considering a career in gynecologic oncology as well as those who will pursue general practice.
Selected residents spend one month on the Gynecologic Oncology service at MD Anderson. Residents will have extensive inpatient and outpatient experience. Through both didactic and practical teaching, there is exposure to radical surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. Residents in Obstetrics and Gynecology who will be at level PGY-3 in the upcoming academic year are invited to apply for the Felix Rutledge Resident Rotation in Gynecologic Oncology. Comfortable housing is provided within walking distance of the hospital.
