Oncologic Neuroradiology and Head & Neck Imaging
The Oncologic Neuroradiology and Head and Neck Imaging Fellowship in the Diagnostic Imaging division is a second year 12-month program. With one fellow learning from more than 20 Neuroradiology Imaging faculty members, the trainee is offered extensive training of the brain, spine, head and neck tumors, with a focus on advanced imaging techniques. The fellow rotates on a weekly basis through a wide variety of clinical experiences in the hospital and outpatient settings, attends numerous conferences and participates in research.
State of the art equipment includes:
- 38 CT scanners
- 31 MRI scanners
- Nine PET/CT scanners
- One PET/MRI scanner
The Center for Advanced Biomedical Imaging (CABI) allows for true bench-to-clinic research with highly trained medical/ research professionals and dedicated research imaging equipment.

I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of the Oncologic Neuroradiology Fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. As program director, it is my privilege to introduce you to our renowned fellowship program, which stands at the forefront of diagnostic imaging, research, and education.

One of the hallmarks of our program is to provide fellows with an organized, comprehensive, and supervised full-time educational experience in the selection, interpretation, and performance of neuroradiologic examinations and procedures, with an emphasis on advanced neuroimaging in the oncologic patient.
Our fellowship program benefits from large volume, high complexity patients and the expertise of world-renowned neuroradiologists.
In addition to clinical training, our program places a strong emphasis on integral physician development, patient safety, quality improvement, and research opportunities.

If you are applying for a GME fellowship or residency program starting on or after July 1, 2016, please be advised that MD Anderson will have instituted a tobacco-free hiring process as part of its efforts to achieve these goals. If you are offered an appointment, you will be subject to a Pre-Employment Drug Screen for tobacco compounds in compliance with applicable state laws.
