Endoscopy Technician Certificate Program
Endoscopy technicians fulfill a critical need in clinics across the U.S. From setting up and sterilizing supplies to welcoming and preparing patients for procedures, endoscopy technicians provide core services that are integral to the endoscopy suite and the delivery of quality patient care.
Our 12-week Endoscopy Technician Certificate Program provides a blend of didactic and hands-on clinician training to ensure prospective and entry-level endoscopy technicians are gaining the skills necessary to lead successful careers in the endoscopy suite
and beyond.
About the program
Goals and Objectives
The Endoscopy Technician Certificate Program is designed for individuals seeking to learn the skills necessary to obtain an entry-level endoscopy technician position.
Our program delves into the knowledge and skills needed to operate as a member of the endoscopic team in an endoscopy suite, and assist in the delivery of patient care before, during and following endoscopic procedures.
Our goal is to help our learners build a strong foundation in their profession so they can provide safe and quality care that reflects the best practices at MD Anderson and facilities across the Texas Medical Center.
Structure and Curriculum
The program’s 12-week course is delivered in a hybrid format in which students will engage in 88 clinical hours, as well as didactic training that is held in the simulation lab and online. The 250-contact hour program is designed to allow individuals who are currently working to participate in the program and upskill their knowledge.
The cost of the program is $1,800, and payment must be made before being registered for the course.
Each cohort is limited to 12 participants; additional applicants will be placed on our waiting list and notified when the next cohort is ready to begin.
Application Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- CPR Certification
- Successful criminal background/drug screening upon acceptance into the program
