The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Tobacco Outreach Education Program (TOEP) aims to deliver the highest quality education and training in tobacco control principles and practices to health care professionals and the public locally, nationally, and worldwide. TOEP develops new, exemplary methods of tobacco control education and training using state-of-the-art science and technology.
Alexander V. Prokhorov, M.D., Ph.D., the program’s director, has led the charge in promoting tobacco control globally with TOEP. As the program continues to expand its reach, it now offers continuing medical education (CME) materials related to ethics and professional responsibility. These materials are being offered to Texas physicians and other health care providers at no cost.
