Parking & Shuttles

Parking information is presented based upon the building you are visiting. 

There are three parking garages with easy access to MD Anderson. Garage 10 and Garage 2 are operated by the Texas Medical Center (TMC), and the Mays Clinic Garage is owned and operated by MD Anderson.

Main Building renovations at Texas Medical Center Campus continue

We’re updating hallways in the Main Building, Floors 1-3. Follow the signs to get to your appointments.

Information about the garages and lots, including their cost and operating hours, is below.

Main Building/The Aquarium Entrance

• Valet Parking: Open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week, $20 (flat fee)
  
• Garage 10: Open 24 hours, linked by sky bridge to the Main Building. Costs range from $5 (1 hour or less) to $19 (up to 24 hours). Lost ticket is $25. This garage is operated by the Texas Medical Center.

Visitors traveling between the Main Building and Mays Clinic can ride motorized mini-shuttles on the skybridge. The mini-shuttles operate Monday-Friday from 6 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.

Main Building/The Pavilion Entrance

• Valet Parking: Open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday-Friday, $20 (flat fee)
• Garage 2: Open 24 hours, located near the Acute Cancer Care Center. Costs range from $5 (1 hour or less) to $19 (up to 24 hours). Lost ticket is $25. This garage is operated by the Texas Medical Center.

Mays Clinic/Duncan Building

• Valet Parking: Open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday-Friday, $20 (flat fee)
  
• Mays Clinic/Duncan Building Garage: Open 5 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Friday (See parking rates below)

Rotary House

• Valet Parking: 24/7, only available for hotel guests and their visitors

Radiology Outpatient Center

• Monday-Friday 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., by appointment only.

Life Science Plaza

• Attached Garage: Paid parking is available in the garage attached to Life Science Plaza. Rates vary.

1MC/Human Resources

• Mid Campus Garage: Open 24 hours a day
• No shuttle service to patient care facilities

Pre-paid Value Passes

Pre-paid Value Passes offer discounted rates and in-and-out privileges for parking in Texas Medical Center garages. These are ideal if you plan to park for several consecutive days or for repeated visits.

• $52 pre-paid Value Passes (loaded with $60 in parking value)
• $100 pre-paid Value Passes (loaded with $115 in parking value)

Value Passes may be purchased at the Garage 10, Level 3 skybridge to MD Anderson.

If you need assistance parking at MD Anderson, please call 713-563-7275 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. For assistance with Texas Medical Center garages and parking lots, please call 713-791-6161.

MD Anderson ground shuttles are available for patients traveling between the Main Building, Mays Clinic, Hospitality Apartments, Proton Therapy Center, South Campus Research Building (SCRB3) and Radiology Outpatient Center. 

Patient shuttles have a lavender-colored sign on the side. It takes approximately 20-25 minutes to complete a lap. All shuttles are equipped with wheel chair lifts. Family members may also ride the shuttle, but we ask that each patient have no more than three guests to ensure there is room for patients traveling to their appointments.

Shuttle vans are available for guests at the Jesse Jones Rotary House International hotel. The vans can take guests to any location within a 1.5-mile radius of the Texas Medical Center.

Shuttle carts are available on the skybridge that connects the Mays Clinic/Duncan Building and the Main Building from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
