Employee Assistance Program
Counselors in the EAP are confidential workforce members to whom workforce members and students may report incidents of sexual misconduct. Moreover, immediate help and referral information is also available to parties that have suffered abuse and to parties who have been abusive towards others. The EAP can be reached by telephone at 713-745-6901 and for urgent situations after regular work hours, the EAP pager number is 713-404-3092. Bastrop and Smithville campus workforce members may also access EAP services by calling the Houston office at 713-745-6901 or 877-259-9876.
Ombuds Office
The Ombuds Office provides a voluntary, informal, impartial place to discuss concerns, issues, or conflicts. The Ombuds office does not have an official role in institutional formal procedures. For students only, institutional Ombudspersons are considered confidential workforce members. In this instance, Ombudspersons may not include any information that would violate a student’s expectation of privacy. The Ombuds Office can be reached by telephone at 713-792-4896 or 866-610-7841 or email at ombuds@mdanderson.org.
